Spooky Fun For Everyone…
Hop aboard The Flying Sorcerer and solve the mystery of the Headless Gardener at Exbury Gardens. Other activities include a Witches Spell and Pumpkin Trail, Magic Potion Competition and creepy crafts in the Haunted Workshop.
It’s Boo at the Zoo this half term (22-30 October) where spooky stories will be told at historic Marwell Hall, pumpkins will be carved and fancy dress is positively encouraged for broomstick flying lessons plus there are tiger and leopard cubs to see too!
The Big Draw comes to the Museum of Army Flying in October half-term. Activities include a new Art Trail, drama workshops and an exploration of technical drawings from the archive.
Fright Night at Butser Ancient Farm on Saturday 29th October – dare to meet your ancestors! Plus family storytelling and spirit hunt throughout half term.
Head to Fort Nelson this October half term for a host of Halloween horrors from solving mysterious disappearances, to Halloween trails and ghoulish craft activities.
Feel your hair stand on end and a shiver down your spine as you walk through the creepy
corridors of our unique Halloween Grotto at Birdworld. Take part in some fun but creepy arts and crafts, Halloween train ride and trails too!
Discover what goes bump in the night after the farm closes on this guided family tour at Manor Farm Country Park on 25th and 26th October!
Ghostly Activities For The Kids…
Prepare your little ones for a wickedly spook-tacular family evening this Halloween at the Hawk Conservancy Trust, with spooky crafts, a Halloween passport trail and a magical owl flying display.
Have a go at spooky arts and crafts, enjoy a tractor ride to the enchanted forest, follow the toadstools through the woods to the witch’s hollow and finish with a magical show at Queen Elizabeth Country Park.
Explore the grounds of Mottisfont on a spooky adventure this half-term, with a family trail full of folklore, mystery and crafty activities for little witches and wizards.
Come dressed as a Halloween spook and find out about all things magical at The Watercress Line. Take unlimited rides on our Wizard Express, hold an owl on your arm, be brave and touch creepy crawlies, marvel at a haunting magic show, fly on a witch’s broomstick and get your face painted into something scary!
The new Soft Play Time Table at Rock Up Whiteley launches on Monday 3rd October. During term time, Creative Colouring is scheduled for Monday, Toddler Track on Tuesdays and Cake or Biscuit Decorating is planned for mid-week Wednesdays. Face Painting will be Thursdays and Create & Play – a joint initiative between Creation Station and Rock Up, which combines an hour of messy, arty fun followed by soft play will close the week on Friday mornings.
Have lots of magical fun at Staunton Country Park with creepy crafts and frightening face painting. Follow the spooky trail, visit the magical maze, listen to spine tingling stories and see the creepy crawlies if you dare!
Pumpkin Carving Workshops at the New Forest Centre on Friday 28 and Saturday 29 October – come and make your own pumpkin lantern to brighten the dark winter nights.
Blue Reef Aquarium is calling out to all budding artists to take part in their Under the Sea arts and craft sessions. Youngsters will be able to make a funky piggy bank to start saving those pennies for Christmas. Event is included in admissions price.
